The U8 Mite and U8/U6 In-House players generally practice 1-2 days a week with 1 game on weekends. All games are in the local metro area so no overnight trips, no hotels. The season begins in October and runs through early March. Official start date for will be communicated via emails as the season approaches.

The U8 Mite teams will have the opportunity to attend 2-3 tournaments during the season. These tournaments may have an overnight hotel stay involved depending on where the tournament is being played.

U8 Mite through U14 Bantam seasons (including girls-only teams) begin with pre-season skills sessions in early- to mid-September followed by tryouts in early October with practices beginning immediately after tryouts.  The season ends by mid-March.


USA Hockey:

Each skater and potential coach must register with USA Hockey and will be assessed a $56 fee ($46 to USA Hockey plus $10 to WAHA) paid via credit card at the time of USA Hockey Online Registration.  Needs to be completed prior to EYHA registration.

EYHA Registration Fees:

Registration fees can be paid on-line at the time of registration with EYHA and is part of your total ice fees. They can also be mailed to EYHA via U.S. Postal Service at:

U6/U8 In-House / U8 Mite: $300
U10 Squirt / U10 Squirt Girls: $300
U12 PeeWee / U12 PeeWee Girls: $300
U14 Bantam / U14 Bantam Girls: $600

** Learn to Play Hockey is $125 per session. 

Volunteer Fee:

$200 (U8 Mite & U8 In-House) & $400 (U10 Squirt, U12 Pee Wee, & U14 Bantam) assessed at time of first billing installment (on or around November 15th). This will be credited at the end of the season upon completion of 10 volunteer CREDITS for U10 Squirt, U12 Pee Wee, & U14 Bantam.  5 Volunteer Credits are needed for U8 Mite & U8 In-House.  Note: credits are NOT necessarily equal to hours. Fundraising Buy-Out Fee:

$100 assessed on the initial invoice & is credited back at the end of the season IF the $250 fundraising sales quota has been met. Fundraising opportunities will be available September - March. 

Ice Fees:

These vary depending on the number of teams and players as well as the amount of ice a team receives. Typical ice fees range from $900+/- for U8 Mite level  to $2,200+/- U14 Bantam level. These ice fees include a budget for team tournaments.  Individual teams may incur additional costs for tournaments, travel, or other activities aside from the association fees. Members may choose between 3 payment schedules: paid in full at registration, pay in full by November 1, or monthly payments Aug-Dec. If a family needs to make special arrangements for payment, you are asked to contact the Treasurer to set up a mutually-agreed upon payment plan.
