The introductory program is a FREE hockey program to target new and beginner skaters ages 4 and up. While the base fee is waived, USA Hockey requires an annual fee of $50 for youth ages 7 and over participating in hockey. It's not necessary to have skating experience for the introductory program, and this is the perfect opportunity to sample hockey before making any commitment or investment. Best of all, the Introductory Program participants will have the opportunity to enroll in a learn to play program after the event!
The Learn to Play Free Program runs for 4 weeks on Sundays at 4-4:50pm at the Ponds of Brookfield. Dates for the Learn to Play Free Program:
This program is designed for both boys and girls (ages 4-10) who are new to hockey. Kids will learn to play hockey in a fun, casual environment without a significant time or financial commitment. Practices will be held once a week. Age-appropriate kids will move up to U8 Mite or U6/U8 In-House upon either completion of a season of Learn-to-Play Hockey or upon gaining the necessary skills and abilities to keep up with the U8 level players and requirements.
Rental equipment is available to minimize the costs to families.
EYHA offers two Learn to Play Program opportunities during the Hockey Season.
